Kris / keris - RARE Cerita Lanang 5 luks - Bali - Indonesia

Cerita Lanang 5 luks keris from Bali with Kelengan forged. This kris Kelengan / Keleng is a kris with no pamor material. This kris is made from a special iron and steel. The importance is not the pamor motif but the nice shape of the dapur. Instead of a normal kris, a Kelengan is made from many good basic materiala and so you nearly never find any rust. Also known as Tanpa pamor, Keleng, Kelengan, Wonoayu, Baja (without Pamor). When you look closely to the photos you will see a keris which belongs to a person of a higher “kaste”, most likely a higher government officer. At the top of the keris is a beautifully carved togog ukiran trimmed with a style-conforming gold colored khendit mendak. As usually for a Balinese keris it is big (68cm!) and stunning. luk: 5 luks origin: Bali, Indonesia dapur: Cerita Lanang pamor: Baja (without Pamor) warangka: Srengatan style (Bali) in Timoho Dewaduru (brings fortune!) mendak: model Khendit, made of golden coloured brass. It is decorated with coloured stones. ukiran: figural (togog) Godly person with effervescent character (probably Bayu, the Hindu god of winds), Classical danganan in high quality. Most likely brass with gold paint decorated with, I assume, half-precious stones. fitting: perfect restorations: none damage: Some surface scratches, dents, which is normal considering the age of the item Dimensions (approx.): wilah: 40 cm ukiran: 14 cm sarong: 55 cm whole: 68 cm weight: 675 gr
