Westvleteren & Chimay - XII & Blauw 2019 - 33cl - 10 bottles

The Trappist Westvleteren is brewed by the monks of St. Sixtus Abbey. Five natural raw materials are used to brew three Trappist beers: Blond, 8 and 12. They each have their own color, taste and aroma. All beers are unfiltered and not pasteurized, with secondary fermentation in the bottle. All this benefits their taste and aroma.---The older the beer, the more specific the taste---expiration date 4/2019 The Trappist Westvleteren is brewed and bottled within the Abbey and only offered for sale on site. Wooden bins of 24 bottles in the Abbey itself and a small package of 6 bottles in the meeting center ‘In de Vrede’. complies with the strict regulations of the International Trappist Association, and therefore also bears the logo ‘Authentic Trappist Product’. This Trappist, also called the Flemish Burgundy, colors dark amber and has a stable, strongly wall-adhesive, white foam head. Westvleteren 12 is masterful in its complexity but wonderful in its simplicity. The sublime soft taste of caramel and chocolate goes perfectly with the raisin-sweet and nutty notes in the aroma. Together with the firm alcohol content, this results in a beneficial fullness and a nice long-lasting warm aftertaste. The Blue Chimay is a dark beer with a powerful aroma and a complex taste that improves with age. The beer has a scent of fine herbs. The aftertaste is relatively dry with a touch of caramel. These beers are now at his best , mature , will keep for a few years …. Stored well in perfect conditions ....dark cellar and constant temperature Only EU shipping
