An elegant war club from Pentcost island, Vanuatu . Ceremonial Club in heavy hard wood, Spade like form with a cylindrical shaft and a flattened wooden head carved into two opposing crescents and terminating in a broad arc. A triangular prism ridge runs down the lower half of each face as an abstracted nose feature top of which expresses a very beautiful, highly stylized vision of a human face built around the central ridge like a nose.
