Author's Link: http://www.kaukapedia.com/index.php/Tran José Luis Beltrán Coscojuelas (TRAN) was a Spanish cartoonist, painter, illustrator and animator (Zaragoza, February 7, 1931-Sitges, October 21, 2013). In 1960, he started his first comic series for the Tío Vivo magazine of the Barcelona-based Editorial Bruguera: La Familia Repanocha, moving to Barcelona two years later. He would then combine his work as an animator at Macián Studios with the creation of more comic series for El DDT: Don Renato (1963), Ringo (1966) or Cándido Palmatoria. He also made the Dunkin Boy sticker collection (1968). In the 70s, he drew series such as Constancio Plurilópez, Tete Gutapercha or Fanny for the magazines Mortadelo and Super Mortadelo, in which he frequently reflected the scripts of José Luis Ballestín, Julio Fernández, Armando Matías Guiu, Jaume Ribera or Leonardo Diaz. He also worked for the German and Danish markets through the Bardon Art agency with series such as Klein and Hasi or Josephine, respectively.
