Here is a lovely pelagic (seas strolling) trilobite species- Remopleurides nanus elongatus Schmidt, 1894 This alien-like trilobite having the greatly inflated hypertrophied eyes (let the "bug" to have spherical field of view) and the body slim and elongated comparing with other benthic trilobites. The species is hard to obtain and always is in the WISH LIST amid trilobite collectors. Check out the specimen. It has fantastic preservation, the shell showing terrace lines and tubercules ornamentation on the rahis part of the throatic segments. Every detail is cleaned carefully including the genal and long throatic spines. The trilobite size is about 2cm (measured if it was prone), this is a very big example for this species (common size is about 1.3-1.5cm). Reconstruction is 0% !
