This Technics SL-5 Direct Drive Automatic Turntable System had only one previous owner and has always been well taken care of. It’s a low mass lineair tracking turntable and it comes with a Technics P24 cartridge and needle in good condition. Note: Important to know about this lot is that the turntable is in ‘manual’ condition which means that the ‘auto-size detection’ and ‘auto-rpm detection’ options are dysfunctional. Apart from that, the turntable is fully functional. Speed (rpm) selection (33/45) is done easily by using the switch right above the start and stop buttons. Size selection (7”/12”) is done by moving the tone-arm through holding and releasing the start button - through which track selection is also done. Size selection is only necessary when playing 7” singles, since the turntable is set to playing 12” records automatically. The SL-5 is a full automatic turntable and is operated by using the buttons on the front. There is also a cueing functionality, and a repeat functionality which when activated will automatically play the record again after ending. The turntable comes with the original power cable, audio cable and original plug-in ground cable. The dustcover is in good shape with light signs of usage.
