A very old, large and heavy traditional Hijiori Kokeshi, made by signed by the artist Okuyama, Kiyoji (1905-1972). This Kokeshi is estimated to be at least 80 years old, most likely much older. It has accumulated a shiny golden patina over the years. Considering the fact that it is very old, the colors are still bright and it no damages at all. This kokeshi comes from a retired private Japanese collector who lives near Nagoya. Please take a good look at the pictures for details and the artist signature on the bottom!
