A very impressive Ottoman Empire silver-metal ring. It presents a high-set bezel with a black hardstone engraved with an image of a bird in flight. The intaglio decoration potentially served as a stamp or a seal, illustrating a protective symbol or the heraldry of the owner. The bezel collar features a decorative band of granules and a crenulated border, making it reminiscent of a crown. The ring band also features a granulated decoration at the shoulders with a floral motif. Good solid condition, wearable. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
