A very impressive Ottoman Empire silver-metal ring. It presents a raised octagonal bezel set with a red hardstone intaglio showing a seated figure, possibly a warrior or a ruler with a spear or staff in his hand. The background of the scene has been decorated with three incised dots. The intaglio decoration served as a stamp or a seal, illustrating a protective symbol or the heraldry of the owner. The raised bezel presents a trapezoid shape and is decorated on all sides with geometric patterns, partly worn and faded, with a raised trefoil formation at the centre of two sides. The shoulders feature two rounded protrusions. Good solid condition, wearable. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
