This book accompanies a major retrospective of Smoliansky's work at the Hasselblad Center in Göteborg. Fantastic book! Signed by the artist! Gunnar Smoliansky was born in 1933 on the island of Gotland, in Sweden. After school and national service, he moved to Sao Paolo where he worked as an assistant to a photographer who specialised in industrial photography. When he returned to Sweden, at the end of the fifties, he started work at Atlas Copco as their inhouse photographer, while studying at Christer Strömholm's photography school in the evenings. He was employed for ten years, and has since worked as a freelance photographer on occasional commissions but primarily on his own work. He has numerous exhibitions and publications to his name, books such as Barn, Slussen and Waldemarsudde." (from the publisher) #ExclusivePhotographersStudio
