In 1929 Enzo Ferrari, founded Scuderia Ferrari in Modena with the aim of giving drivers a chance in motor racing. As a car he mainly uses Alfa Romeo's and Scuderia Ferrari became the official racing division of Alfa Romeo in 1933. In 1938 Alfa Romeo took over the racing division and the racing division was renamed Alfa Corse. So Alfa Romeo leaves in 1939, but has to promise them that he would not use the name Scuderia Ferrari in the next five years. After the Second World War he finally started to develop his own cars under the name Scuderia Ferrari.
