Ancient Roman Limestone Sculpture of Goddess Fortuna sculpture

A limestone acephalous sculpture of the Goddess Fortuna,probably part of a stele with the goddess in relief. The goddess depicted standing with her weight on her left leg, wearing a high-belted tunic centered by a Herakles knot, the tunic clinging to her body, revealing its form beneath, her mantle draped over her left shoulder, across her waist in a diagonal roll over the left arm. She also wears a beaded necklace on her neck and two bracelets, one on each wrist. She holds hand a fruit-filled cornucopia on her right hand as a sign of abundance. The left hand holds what appear to be two wineskins. The piece is sold without metal support. Surface wear and material losses but overall good condition ( see pictures ) Dimensions: Height: 30 cm - Width: 30 cm - Depth: 10 cm Provenance: Swiss Auction House Lausanne. Formerly French estate. Notes: The piece is in process of obtaining the Spanish export license for the European Unión. This process can take between 2 and 4 weeks. If the piece goes outside the European Union, a new export license will be requested by the seller. This process can take between 1 and 2 months.
