In this lot we offer 7 beautiful Sosaku kokeshi. The height is between 15cm and 30cm Kokeshi (こけし, in Japanese), are simple wooden Japanese dolls with no arms or legs that have been crafted for more than 150 years as a toy for children, now kokeshi are mainly collected by collectors worldwide. Originally from the northeastern region (Tōhoku-chihō) of Japan, they are handmade from wood, having a simple trunk and head with a few thin, painted lines to define the face. Please look carefully at the pictures to determine the condition of the kokeshi. Could contain scracthes and stains.
