Camus, Château de Maniban - Napoleon Cognac + VSOP Armagnac - b. 1980s, 1990s - 70cl - 2 bottles

THE WINE The "Part des Anges" ["Angels' Share"] is the poetic term used to describe the evaporation that occurs when Cognac is left to age in barrels. The term now refers to a yearly gathering, bringing the men and women of Cognac together for a charity event.
This auction sale offers collectors the opportunity to bid on truly exceptional, even unique, bottles of Cognac offered up by generous donors. Profit from sales will be donated to the Fondation de France.

A very small stock of this Grande Champagne vintage Cognac remains, the last traces of a harvest that was truly exceptional in all senses of the word. The unique climatic conditions of 1970 resulted in one of the century's most spectacular harvests. This exceptional Cognac is not cooled in order to retain all of its organoleptic qualities, and is reduced to just 40°, thus returning to one of the Charentes vineyard's most significant periods. It boasts a rich amber shade, as well as a supple, generous nose that is very aromatic with hints of blackcurrant and lime blossom. Its finish is very pleasant, with a persistent earthy note. The Camus Vintage 1970 is particularly powerful on the palate, with tannins underpinned by and in perfect harmony with the aromas of the grapes and distillation. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Armagnac It's the distillate eau - de - vie based on wine from France, produced in the south - west of France, with over 700 years of history.
