A good size shell shaped fruit bowl on tall foot, measuring circa 18.5cm in height and weighing a gross 693g (central screw thread and ring not silver), with a delightful silver ornament to the foot cast as a stylized bat or chimera. No hallmarks detected, the piece may at one point have had a handle with hallmark. Tested in several places, acid test shows bright red line indicating high silver content. When the acid test line is as bright as this, usually it is an indication of .900 or above, but to err on the side of caution we shall call it .800. Condition: Very good, no damages or repairs.
