Beautiful 18th century Comtoise with plate dial and sawn bell bracket.. Clock strikes every half and full hour on bell, no repetition on full hours. Half hourly striking mechanism via rack. Case has beautiful smooth doors and back plate and a nicely slender hand-sawn steel hand. Clock has been fully restored and cleaned, and has been fitted with new red ropes, old weights and wire pendulum with weight. The original dial has been restored, but not to a perfect condition to keep part of the charm of its age. This clock runs and strikes properly! Clock comes with chair and key.
