Watch a video of this specimen by following the Vimeo link below: https://vimeo.com/927024714 Here is an exceptional kammererite from Turkey! This very rich specimen displays a bed of intense fuchsia pink chromian clinochlore 'kämmererite' on massive chromite, from which emerge several really larger crystals, the main one being 0.9 cm long. When backlit, the crystal reveals its translucency and stunning internal colour, ranging from a vibrant fuchsia pink to a darker petunia purple shade! In combination with these beautiful chrome-rich silicates, you can spot some white brucite veneer, adding even more interest to this beautiful specimen of rare kämmererite. Kämmererite is only known in this quality from the Kop Krom ophiolitic rocks and the locality has not been producing any new samples for decades: this is an unique opportunity to obtain a superb specimen of this rare international classic! Ex coll. P. Allemand (1980's).
