This sweet faced, large 28-inch antique doll, is a Heinrich Handwerck/Simon & Halbig German girl.
She was manufactured in Thuringia, Germany after the turn of the century. Heinrich Handwerck sent his head molds to the Simon & Halbig factory for them to pour and paint his bisque heads, as he himself concentrated on the manufacturing of the doll bodies.
Her facial features were painted by a skilled craftsman from the Simon & Halbig porcelain factory! She possesses beautiful brush stroked brown eyebrows, lower straight black lash treatment, a lovely painted mouth with four porcelain teeth, and fine facial blushing with a dimple at her chin. She has her original deep brown glass sleep eyes with the original wax covering and plaster set.
Her ears are pierced with earings and her bisque is creamy looking. Her head is incised to the back with "Germany, Heinrich Handwerck/Simon & Halbig". She wears an antique light brown wig.
Her body retains its original paint and varnish with no missing parts or.
The beautiful big girl wear an antique blue dress, underwear and the original shoes.
