The vase is attributed to be from the School of Kenzan or Ninsei possibly from the Kyoto region and made in the Meiji era.
It is beautifully painted in the art nouveau style. A piece to inspire the japonisism of the late century art nouveau movement.
In front, the vase depicts two parrots amongst yellow flowers, on the back side it has giant leaves.
The body og the vase is in perfect condition, but it has a repair on one handle. It has been glued back on and restored.
