Logniture - Armchair - Veles - Chainsaw Carved From Single Piece of Wood | Handmade | - Wood

Unique functional sculpture carved from a single piece of wood in the shape of an armchair. Each piece in our production is carved by artists with basic wood carving power tools. Every chair is made as unique as it can be, with dedication to each single detail. We exclusively make 1/1 original pieces, no reproductions are made, and that is what every client deserves. Bald, original and unique. Decorating your interior with such unique masterpiece will bring your home interior to the next level. The chair is carved with the flow of inspiration that comes into the artist at the very moment of creation, which makes each one of a kind. What makes it even more interesting than just a regular piece of art is that it is functional, you are able can interact with it and use it, make it part of your everyday life, which makes you more connected with it and appreciate it even more. Our biggest inspiration is nature itself that lead us through our creations. We do not cut down for our material, we seek out downed tree logs in our local forest and grant it new eternal life. This is original work, edition 1/1 from a collection called Veles - no reproductions are made. Veles, Slavic god of nature and arcane knowledge of laws of nature, the god of magic. One look at this piece clearly suggests that the artist magically shaped this ''regal'' chair. It emanates strength and firmness (Volos/ Veles is also the god of cattle and the scientists claim that the Croatian word ''vol'' meaning the ox derives from the name as well). The left ear protruding from the back rest reminds us of an ox horn as well as the first letter of its name in Croatian. It is an interesting, asymmetrical but functional shape. The author played with geometrical shapes - the backrest portrays two stylized triangles while the armrests are shaped like two rectangles. The seat is decorated with annual rings and epoxides stretching from the centre to the edges which symbolize and mirror sun rays. The position of the legs suggests movement - because the God of nature is always in motion and cyclically maintains its balance.
