A nice pair of signed Art Deco spelter and marble bookends depicting sitting dogs, signed Tedd. France, circa 1930s. The expressive obedient green spelter dogs are sitting on a white marble base, forming an elegant and clean set. These dogs are designed by Tedd, a sculptor of the Art Deco style specialised in depicting animals. The signature is on the dog’s collar. See picture. Overall good condition. Please note that there is a TINY chip on the marble base under one dog’s paw, completely invisible when used as a bookend. There’s also another small chip on the same marble base, on the back. Once again, near invisible. See pictures (dog number 2). These are overall very nice and elegant decorative items that will be a great detail for any room.
