This is the Franklin Mint Edition from 1987, Very rare.ALVIS THE FRANKLIN MINT hood ornament, bronze 24 carat gold plated Weight about 1.2 kg Height with base approx 7.62 cm The Flying Stork (or La Cigogne Volante) was first made by the legendary sculptor François Bazin. Bazin was born in Paris in 1897 but later moved to Santiago, Chile, where his parents taught at the College of Art. Bazin returned to Paris as a young man and was drafted into the war effort in 1916. Bazin was affiliated with a squadron of the French Air Force and came into contact with Hispano-Suiza for the first time. The history of the company has its origins in the Spanish automobile manufacturer of the same name, which was founded in Barcelona in 1904 with the leading participation of Swiss designer Marc Birkigt. After the Second World War, the company was nationalized as ENASA (Empresa Nacional de Autocamiones S.A.) and began producing Pegaso vehicles from 1946. Will be well packaged and sent insured.
