2016 Foradori Granato - Trentino IGT - 1 Magnum (1.5L)

Foradori's Granate is an iconic Italian red, the expressive pinnacle of Teroldego capable of defying time in a virtuous way. Elisabetta Foradori is undoubtedly one of the most famous faces in the world of wine, also known as the woman of Teroldego, a title won after decades in which the enhancement of the Trentino vine has always been the first objective to be pursued, so as to go as far as to explant the international vines previously present. The choice, which after years it seems to have been at least right, has meant that his son Emilio, now at the helm of the family winery, continued without hesitation in this direction, continuing to favour the local native vines, cultivated following the precepts of biodynamics, and using Spanish amphorae in the vinification phase. All wines are centred and territorial, with increasing levels of depth depending on the type. It's a piece of past, present and future history. Foradori Granato is the top wine of the winery, obtained from pure Teroldego grapes from vineyards of over 70 years of age located in Noval, Regin and Pedot, which rest on alluvial soils. In the vineyard it is worked with watchful care, observing without prevaricating and following the precepts of biodynamics in order to preserve the vitality of soil and plants. In the cellar we proceed with spontaneous fermentation, and in the case of the Garnet, with maceration on the skins of 20-30 days. The liquid refines for 15 months in acacia barrels from 20-40 hl and 2 months in concrete tanks before bottleing. The Granato wine is presented in the glass with a bright and lively ruby robe. A true champion, even able to improve over the years, he immediately shows his fabric by proposing an austere but multifaceted profile where you can recognize the currant, the pomegranate and the graphite, as well as an impressive stratification. The sip is cohesive, powerful and dense, towed by a tannin of splendid workmanship, perfectly balanced by matter, salt and freshness. In the Magnum version for large drinks.
