The Herend Bird is painted with it’s vibrant polychrome plumage coloration and features the bird perched with cherries on the side. Founded in 1826, Herend Porcelain Manufactory is one of the world's largest porcelain factories, specializing in luxury hand painted and gilded porcelain. In the mid-19th century it was purveyor to the Habsburg Dynasty and aristocratic customers throughout Europe. This is a retired piece, that is no longer in production, making it very collectible, marked with Herend stamp.
