A Large Carved and Lacquered Wood Figure of a Seated Official China, 17th – 18th century Height: 56 cm. The figure is shown seated with his left hand resting on his knee and his right hand holding his belt away from his body, wearing dark red robes with a large dragon panel on the front and an elaborate collar and borders with relief decoration in black and gold. His face has a pensive expression below the cloth head-covering cantered in front by a flower applique and tied with a bow with long trailing ends.
