5 Excellent damask linen napkins.
The initial sJ.R. are very well and elegantly embroidered in high relief
and clearly visible from each side.
Each letter carries a small open flower and each initial has a pea
embroidery at the top and bottom of the letters.
The damask design in "damien" style (chessboard) or wicker work style
are so typical of the early 20th Century.
There was not much else available other than the very expensive
damask country and hunting scenes which only the very rich French families could
"surround" themselves with.
