DEEP LAVANDER purple FLUORITE and BARYTE combo a true Spanish classic - Height: 8.2 cm - Width: 6.3 cm- 293 g - (1)

A piece of oval shaped karstified limestone matrix with its internal cavities coated by the classic baryte and purple fluorite paragenesis typically seen from this famous outcrop situated on top of a cliff on the northern coast of Asturias. In this case, the baryte is of the typical milky white iron stained type that is often seen on pieces from this deposit, while the fluorite is definitely of very good quality, being transparent, with very nice and sharp stepped and strongly zoned lavender purple cubes, that display a nice glassy muted luster not quite mirror like but definitely close. There are also a few scattered biteminated quartz crystals that appear scattered over the fluorite and matrix and add some extra sparkle the piece. As far as damage goes, I have only found small exfoliations and very tiny breaks on fluorite cubes in the back of the piece and on one of the baryte blades, and apart from that, really nothing else, so this is a quite well preserved example.
