Mesopotamian Clay Old Babylonian fragment of a Cuneiform Tablet

Ancient Mesopotamian clay cuneiform tablet dating to The Old Babylonian Period (between 1894 BC - 1595 BC). The artifact is cone-shaped with engraved cuneiform text running horizontally from the left to right in the front. Used characteristic notation consisting of wedge-shaped impressions formed into the signs is considered as the earliest form of writing. At the back, between the top and the base, there is a sharply sloping wall with an irregular surface on which are located perfectly preserved natural sediments. The lower part constituting the base is flat with a few shallow holes that do not have any effect on the excellent stabilization of the tablet. Cuneiform tablets are important pieces of history being a testimony to the next step in the development of human civilization. In the past they were used to record administrative documents, personal correspondence, and also to preserve stories and myths. * According to received information... presented fragment may contain an extremely rare record of the myth about the Assyrian king Ishme-Dagan. Dimensions: 28mm (W) x 24mm (D) x 27mm (H) Good condition (please check the photos) CUNEIFORM TABLET WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY: * Presentation stand to show an artifact in its full splendor (+ additional mounting putty). * Certificate of Authenticity (COA) document with all information about the artifact and its photos.
