Lot of 6 Belgian coins from Leopold II era: • 3 x 2 Francs 1867 Silver 835/1000, original weight 10 g and diameter 27 mm, ribbed Obverse: King Leopold II head; below the head is the engraver’s name L WIENER, Inscription: LEOPOLD II ROI DES BELGES Reverse: Crowned coat of arms of Belgium. Inscription: L’UNION FAIT LA FORCE 1st coin: crown with cross on the top; current weight 9,7g, still pretty good condition for it’s age, making it quite rare. 2nd coin: no cross on the crown; current weight, 9,6g 3rd coin: severely used, current weight 9,4g • 1 Franc 1887 Silver 835/1000, original weight 5 g and diameter 23 mm, ribbed Obverse: King Leopold II head; below the head is the engraver’s name L WIENER, Inscription: LEOPOLD II ROI DES BELGES Reverse: Crowned coat of arms of Belgium.
