Real blindtusk from a Narwhal.
Rare in both Private and Museum collections.
This is a real Rostrum, that have never grown bigger.
Rarely,perhaps one out of 3/5000 it happens that two Rostrums grows out to full size.
Normally one stop growt and stay in the skull.
This one is a Rostrum that have stopped the growt proces.
It is 144 mm long pure white Ivory.
The Item is followed by a reg tag from The Danish Authority of Nature Protection.
It have origin in a Narwhal taken by The Inuit People in arctic northern greenland in the 1940s.
These very rare rostrums up to more than 200 cm in lenght, have in the past been used as high valuable gifts from The Danish Royalty to Kings and Emperors all over the world.
