Finland - 10m Zeppelin - Finnish postage stamp

10m Zeppelin 1830 error overprint, 1930 is a notable error mark in Finnish philatelic history. In 1930, the post office overprinted 50,000 of its 10m Lake Saima “Zeppelin 1930” stamps, creating its first airmail. The items were specifically released for use on the Graf Zeppelin's return flight from Finland to Germany. Only 500 copies bore the imprint “Zeppelin 1830” instead of “1930,” causing this famous philatelic error. The error was discovered fairly quickly, but more than half of the stamps were still sold to the public. Most of the copies with the imprint error are now in mint condition. An envelope containing two 10m Zeppelin 1830 error stamps was sold by Siegel in June 2016 for $7,500.
