These symbolic tools represent agricultural tasks and emphasize the ushabti's role in agricultural labour in the afterlife. Ushabti figures served a ritualistic and symbolic purpose in funerary practices. They were small figurines placed in tombs to accompany the deceased in the afterlife and perform labour on their behalf.
