2020 Felsina, Fontalloro - Tuscany - 2 Bottle (0.75L)

The Toscana IGT red wine from Fèlsina, produced by the Poggiali family's winery since 1966, utilizes a blend of Sangiovese grapes from vineyards with the Chianti Colli Senesi designation. After selecting and destemming the grapes, fermentation begins between 28°C and 30°C. The entire maceration process in stainless steel tanks lasts for 16-20 days with automated punch-downs and daily pump-overs. In March-April, the new wine is transferred to new French oak barrels and first-passage barrels. After 18-22 months of maturation, blending and bottling follow. Aging in glass ensures refinement for at least 8-12 months before sale. It has a ruby red color. The aroma is complex with tobacco and earthy undertones, complemented by fruity notes of blackberries, currants, and licorice. On the palate, it's soft with excellent tannins that provide structure and consistency. The finish is long and silky with hints of spices and tobacco. Alc.
