Candelabrum - .925 silver

A Victorian era solid 925 silver candelabra. Made between 1851 and 1857 in London, England by silversmith's Stephen Smith & William Nicolson. Seven candlestick holders. There are various hallmarks with 1 showing it is English .925 silver. The second shows a Leopard meaning it was made in London. The third hallmark shows a letter 'b' denoting it was assayed in 1857. The fourth hallmark shows the head of Queen Victoria. The letters SS over WN denote the silversmith's Stephen Smith & William Nicolson from London. The Candelabra is set on a 3 legged pedestal with the upright adorned with a vine and leaves eventually wrapping around each of the candle holders. The centre cup candle holder needs to be soldered back into place but overall the item has no blemishes or flaws. The height is 64cm and there is 43cm width at it's widest between 2 candlestick holders. The base measures 28cm across and the item weighs 3.9kg #collectorscottage
