A Very Rare and Beautiful Painted Pottery Figure of Carriage Driver, Western Han (202 BC - 8 AD) H27×W17×D11.5 cm Including an exquisite collector's box This rare painted pottery figure is stylized as a carriage driver from Western Han dynasty, with holes in the sleeves of his hands, which would have been used when he was attached to the carriage. The pottery figures of Han dynasty are usually standing or kneeling, but this type of carriage driver is only found in the Maoling Mausoleum of Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty, which is very rare.
