NO RESERVE PRICE - Large, patinated hand-carved Swordfish bill - Dragon Phoenix carving- Rostrum - Xiphias Gladius - 11 cm - 83 cm - 2 cm- Non-CITES species - (1)

Beautifully carved swordfish bill, a very impressive eye-catcher.  Resin has been used to fill the swordfish. THE STORY The swordfish bill is engraved by a Balinese artisan who's family has been carving for generations. The skill is traditionally passed down from father to son. This master craftsman has intricately carved a dragon phoenix motif into this large Swordfish Tusk. As you can see, the carving is of extremely high quality and has an immense amount of detail. It could be seen as a type of scrimshaw; the name given to engravings and carvings done in bone or ivory. The tusk is 83 cm long. THE DISCLAIMER - Since it is a natural tusk, it might have some natural minimal cracks and crevices in the skull. This is normal. Please refer to the pictures. - Our skulls are cleaned professionally, but sometimes minor discolouration. This is natural and normal, and not something we can do a lot about. Please refer to the pictures. > THE WEIGHT MENTIONED IS INCLUDING STAND AND PACKING MATERIAL. THE SHIPMENT - The item will be sent with a Track & Trace code via DHL Parcel, DPD or postNl.
