Ancient Ikul prestige Knife in wood and metal - KUBA - D.R of Congo. Beautiful stylish blade with a nice patina of age. This knife named Ikul, can also be considered as a short sword. According to the book “De Fer et de Fierté”, page 228, it is indicated that this kind of blade would be of a Pyaang origin, a people of renowned forgers. These knives are part of the equipment of every free man. The blade is either made of forged iron, red copper or aluminium. Good condition with a beauttiful patina. Provenance: Justin Barthels, former gallery owner Maastricht (NL). Shipping within 24 hours after the payment is received. Tracking number will be provided. Signature upon delivery. Fully insured.
