1924 Vega Sicilia Unico - Ribera del Duero Gran Reserva - 1 Bottle (0.75L)

Vega Sicilia UNICO Gran Reserva 1924 Bodegas y Viñedos Vega Sicilia S.A. - (Valbuena de Duero, Valladolid) D.O.: Ribera del Duero "In 1864, Eloy Lecanda founded the winery that symbolizes the legend of Spanish red wine. It has belonged to various owners but has always maintained an indisputable personality. One of the great hallmarks of Vega Sicilia is the production of concentrated, mature, refined and extremely elegant wines, which have championed the range of the best Spanish wines throughout the world. Currently, in charge of the production of these wines is Gonzalo Iturriaga de Juan, technical director of the winery since 2015. The Vega Sicilia wineries are located in the Valladolid town of Valbuena de Duero, on a farm that forms a meadow that follows the course of the river. This sets the northern limit to the 1,000 hectares of the property; The southern limit is established by the forest that climbs the slope that reaches the plain. The estate has a plantation of 250 hectares of vineyards, of which 80% is planted with the native variety, Tinto Fino or Tempranillo, and the rest with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec. The soils are clay-calcareous, with brown and alluvial areas. Ribera del Duero has a continental climate with Atlantic influence. Precipitation is scarce, with annual averages that do not exceed 500 mm, concentrated especially in spring and autumn. The sunshine, extensive and abundant, reaches annual averages of 2,200 hours of sunshine, and the Duero River favors morning mists and mists that constitute an additional source of humidity."
