Ancient Greek, Magna Graecia Apulian Red-Figure Ceramic Bell Krater With TL Test and Spanish Export License

Beautiful apulian red-figure krater with two side handles. Bell-shaped body, upturned twin loop handles, and flared rim, all upon a concave, tiered, round foot. Designs red on black ground, with white and yellow accessories. Above the designs, laurel-wreath; below each, wave motif band. Large palmettes under the handles The obverse with a young male figure seated to the left on top of vegetation, with embroidered fillet, long hair, bordered himation over lower limbs and offering a withe circle, maybe a phiale. In front of him, a standing young male holding a thyrsos and cloak over the left arm. On the reverse two confronted himation-clad youths mantaining a conversation, one of them holding a withe staff. The piece includes thermoluminescence test. Dimensions: 35,50 x 33,50 cm. Condition: Part of the foot reconstructed. Restored over fracture lines from original fragments ( see pictures) Good overall condition. Provenance: Acquired to a spanish antiquarian. C. R. Private Collection( Le Cannet, France). Acquired at Pierre-Eric Becker Gallery ( Cannes, France) in 1998. Notes: - The piece includes authenticity certificate. The piece includes Spanish Export License ( Passport for European Union). - If the piece goes outside the European Union a new export license will be requested by us, This process can take between 2 and 4 weeks. According to Spanish legislation, items sent outside the European Union are subject to export taxes and will be added to the invoice, at the buyer's expense.
