Rare Footstool or Fuss-Schemel Thonet Nr. 3, made of steam-bent beech wood, production period starting from 1870. This example for sale was produced between 1870 and 1875, the Vienna straw is in excellent condition and well solid to the frame, under the straw oval there is the Thonet stamp and the paper label, barely visible, but probably label 1C. This model in particular was produced for a short period until 1886, as shown in one of the pages of the 1886 Thonet catalog (as shown in the photo), furthermore it is the most sought after Thonet footstool model by collectors, today there are few examples left for sale or in collection. Ideal object as a decorative object or to furnish ancient villas or ancient homes such as castles, etc. This model was used by wealthy people or painters such as Edgar Degas, Giovanni Boldini, Edouard Manet, Toulouse Lautrec, Suzanne Valadon and Maurice Utrillo.
