Icon of the Czechoslovak industrial design. This lamp was used almost everywhere. During the 1960s and 1970s in Czechoslovakia this lamp illuminated designers’ drawings, books and journals in private homes or desks in police departments. That is why got the nickname "Commissioner". The lamp (officially model type 10 12 01) was designed by respected Slovak sculptor Ján Šuchaň in 1968 who designed also glass objects, jewellery and stained-glass windows. The design of the lamp is simple but elegant. The lamp was produced in the Elektrosvit Nové Zámky factory in Slovakia. The lampshade made of bakelite is placed on the arm is adjustable by using a movable ring placed on the metal stand. The lamp is in very good condition, functioning and delivered with a light bulb.
