An excellent table linen in pure linen and silk. The initials B.C. are hand embroidered in high relief and clearly stand out from the back ground and very visible. This would have been a wedding present for the newly weds as the initials B.C. are very much "interlinked". There are in fact two sets of initials ,a set at either side of the table linen. This will leave the centre free for any flower decoration and does not therefore cover the initials. The table linen's damask design is filled with floral attributes. The rectangular piece at the top is approx. 1m40x 0m60 and in the centre of this piece is a oval wreath reserved and framed to put any flower decoration. The borders have very wide floral decoration with large open roses and other floral attributes. It was very difficult to get the photography right this morning as we had 4 seasons in 10 minutes. Hence there are variations in the shades of the photos, but hopefully you will get the effects. PLEASE NOTE; At the very bottom and at the corner have been a repair and a piece of auto collant added. You will not notice or even see this as it is away from the top. There are further two tiny holes which we have covered with a piece of "auto collant'. Vintage linen have already known a first life and can therefore have slight traces of the past. We select the items in the best possible way, with love and dedication. Honest descriptions and images gives a real vision of the items. The linen that we offer for sale is not new linen, unless specifically mentioned, it is second-hand and old linen. As such it may have already been washed, used or even worn. In spite of the great care we take during the preparation, small imperfections can and may escape us. They do not in any way call into question the unique and rare character of these wonderful pieces. I present you our French Antique linen unwashed, as taken out of the armoire, unless otherwise described . It is all clean, but plan to give it a wash before use.
