Statue, Special: The Scream in Bronze 38cm - 38 cm - Bronze, Marble

Very special statue based on the famous canvas the scream from E. Munch. Beautiful art object that is made by hand and placed on green marble 38cm high On May 2, 2012, a version of the work was auctioned for a record price at a New York auction house. The Scream raised an amount of 119.9 million dollars (more than 91 million euros). It thus became the most expensive painting owned by a private individual. The Scream is a psychic self-portrait by Edvard Munch. The painting is based on her own traumatic experience. One evening Munch was walking back to the city of Oslo with friends. They stopped on a bridge. As his friends walked on, Munch paused, gripped by the landscape and the sky with the setting sun. He heard and felt the landscape scream around him. He felt powerless and depressed. This event made such an impression on him that he later recorded this event on canvas several times. Munch painted The Scream during a period after a particularly painful love affair with Millie Thaulow, a married woman. During the relationship marked by jealousy, suspicion and pain, the artist painted a number of canvases that illustrate the course of the relationship. When his relationship with Millie Thaulow was finally over, he painted The Scream. The horrified, despairing figure would have to be Edvard Munch. This Xclusive item will be shipped very well packed. Furthermore, fragile tape will be placed on the package and a track code to track your package is available after sending out.
