Raadvad, established 1758, became famous from the 19th century for knives and kitchen implements. Raadvad's iconic bread slicer has been produced for over a century, becoming a Danish design classic. No longer in production, you can still own one of these slicers. This is a great example of one of the really old classic vintage machines, made soon after the war, according to the original design. The original cream and green paint is in good condition for its age, but with charming patina (photos). The board is sound. The blade is fine, the guillotine functions well. It can slice breads (including rye), cheese, soap, fruits or flowers. Or it can be used as a book rack or as an unusual decoration, at home, or in a shop, cafe or restaurant.
