After a rather complicated 2009 season, Ferrari returned to being competitive in Formula 1 in 2010 with the F10. The start to the championship was excellent, but then Vettel and Webber's Red Bulls became more and more competitive, reducing the disadvantage towards Ferrari also thanks to some mistakes made by Alonso and the team. Before the last race in the United Arab Emirates, Ferrari and Alonso were leading the championship but a little-guessed race strategy gave Vettel the go-ahead with Red Bull. The F10, however, conquered five wins in 2010 with Alonso and two pole positions.
