Dear Collectors, On this auction we offer You rare specimen of Datolite with Quartaz and Calcite from Dalnegorsk in Russia. The borosilicate mineral datolite occurs as fine crystals at a number of localities around the world, including the Paterson New Jersey area, Charcas Mexico, and Dal’Negorsk Russia. Dal’Negorsk datolites, particularly from the Bor mine, are considered by many to be the world’s finest examples of this often showy and collectible species. The datolite crystals are partially-coated in places with small apophyllite crystals, making for a nice aesthetic contrast.
