Cameroon. 500 Francs 2013 Cameroon Night - Watch Rembrandt, (.999) Proof (No Reserve Price)

This majestic silver coin opens the “Rembrandt” series. The given series is dedicated to some of the most famous paintings of the artist, in this case, it is the Night Watch. The Night Watch (1642) by Rembrandt van Rijn is one of the most well-known paintings in the world. Rembrandt was the first to depict the figures in a group portrait in action, showing the civic guardsmen taking up their positions in order to march out. His manipulation of light was also unprecedented. The name Night Watch dates from the eighteenth century, when the painting had already darkened quite considerably. By then, people were no longer sure precisely what it represented. They evidently took it for a night scene. The coin features beautiful digital printing, a rectangular shape, and gold plating. The reverse of the coin presents a wonderful colored image of the famous painting “Night Watch” by a world-famous artist, Rembrandt, surrounded by a beautiful frame. The obverse of the coin features inscriptions that include the issuing country, the year of issue, and the face value. This coin is very rare, and its mintage is limited to 300 coins for global distribution. Get yours today before it's too late!
