Ancient Roman Bronze Symbolic Figurine of Priapus a Deity with an oversized, permanent erection. As a fertility god he is represented holding plate of fruits, protector of livestock, fruit plants, gardens, and male genitalia. Priapus became a popular figure in Roman erotic art and Latin literature, and is the subject of the often humorously obscene collection of verse called the Priapeia. Excellent grade of preservation and Extremely Rare. Height: 6,6 cm. Purchased from a German Auction House. Ex Westphalian Private Collection H.N. 1980s'. The object will be shipped with an Austrian export license. For buyers outside EU the export license will be issued separately and will take from 1-5 weeks. Please note that we can't interfere this process. Our invoice is also a guaranty of authenticity of the object.
