Mantel clock - Hermle - Art Deco Wood - 1950-1960 - Hermès clock original

Mooie Hermès klok origineel. Materiaal hout In zeer goede staat sleutel niet aanwezig. This beautiful, well-functioning table / mantle clock in a timeless design was made by the famous German clockmaker Franz Hermle & Sons (est. 1922, Gosheim Germany). Hermle clocks are a highly sought-after and popular object due to their beautiful design and excellent quality. The wooden clock has a tapered square case with narrow flared sides, brass hands and a dial in off-white with brass dashes and Arabic numerals on the quarters. The trapezoidal convex glass with brass edge is a real eye-catcher! The front is high-gloss varnished and features a small decorative golden stripe. The clock is mounted with a 8-day winding timepiece (winding key included) and a Westminster playing movement. A beautiful Westminster melody sounds every 15 minutes on 5 gong bars and the number of hours on the whole hour. It is also possible to put it on mute by using the dial above the door at the back. You can hear the clock here -> https://youtube.com/shorts/DFJCLCUJW7E?feature=share Comes in an excellent, working vintage condition with only minor signs of use/age. With its beautiful refined shape, a more modernist reference to the art deco style, this clock fits into almost any interior. You don't see this particular model come along very often, so you have a unique vintage gem in your hands! Era: 1950/60s Marked: yes, 'Hermle' on the front Country of origin: Germany Movement: Schwebegang (floating balance) Reserve: 8 day movement Material: wood, brass, glass Dimensions (approx): Width 50 cm Depth 13 cm Height 19 cm Shipping may cause the clock to be off and it may be necessary to have it set by a clockmaker! Please Note: All my items are vintage and may therefore show signs of age and use. I do my best to describe the imperfections and show them in the photos.
