The distillery was founded in 1928 by Henri MARSOLLE in Saint-Rose, north of Basse-Terre (Guadeloupe). In 1933, he installed a mill driven by a large wheel supplied with water by the main tributary of the Grande Rivière, connected to the distillery by a 3km canal, to crush the cane. This mill, now decorative, remains the symbol of the distillery. Henri MARSOLLE was joined in 1952 by his sons, Joseph and Édouard. Joseph MARSOLLE, continues this momentum by initiating fundamental work. Joseph modernized the distillery by installing a Creole column with 19 trays in 1966. The quality of refining is exceptional : rums are produced to gradually reach this degree of excellence which distinguishes the greatest !!!

History of the distillery

Early 18th century, in Guadeloupe, in Basse-Terre: the 'Habitation Bellevue', so named because of the splendid panorama that one discovers when arriving there, is for the moment only a candy store.
